Get ready to discover FAO MuNe

On 16 October 2025, for FAO’s 80th anniversary and World Food Day, step into a journey as the doors of the Food and Agriculture Museum and Network (FAO MuNe) open at FAO headquarters in Rome. This permanent educational experience will be dedicated to food and agriculture, our connection to it, and the Organization’s mandate.

Designed as a new tool to promote the global commitment to food and agriculture, it will connect people through an exchange of knowledge, art and culture of all types, embracing a holistic approach to interactive experiences. From artistic objects and immersive multimedia installations to live workshops, cooking labs and exhibits on rotation, there will always be something new to explore.

FAO MuNe is designed to be a museum in motion: from Rome’s Villa Doria Pamphilj Global Library of Trees and Flowers to the Sustainable Pompeii initiative.  It will extend beyond physical walls, creating a joint mosaic of experiences where food, nature and history  come together.

True to its name, it will also be a network - a centre for collaboration, dialogue and partnerships.

Supported by Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, FAO MuNe will be a hub for a global audience of all ages, both in-person and online. Whether you’re a student, a family, or a curious traveller, FAO MuNe is your gateway to discovering how each of us can take action for a better food future.

Inform, Immerse, Act—FAO MuNe will be an experience that educates and inspires.
