33rd Session of Asia and Pacific Plant Protection Commission

 

The 33^rd Session of the Asia and the Pacific Plant Protection Commission (APPPC) will convene from the 23-27 September in Suzhou, China. The Session will introduce, exchange information and work on important issues of phytosanitary matters and other aspects of plant protection among the Member Nations in the Asia and the Pacific region.

The meeting will take stock of the progress made since the last APPPC Session held in 2022, review country reports and undertake the drafting and approval of a work plan proposal for the 2025-2026 biennium.

The APPPC convened since 1956, administers the Regional Plant Protection Agreement for Asia and the Pacific which is an intergovernmental treaty.  A total of 25 countries are members and the APPPC meets at least once every two years.
