South-Asia Subregional Consultation Workshop on OCOP Market Information Bulletin
Virtual Event, 30/04/2025

The FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, in collaboration with the ESCAP Subregional Office for South and South-West Asia, is co-organizing the South Asia Subregional Consultation Workshop on the One Country One Priority Product (OCOP) Market Information Bulletin. This marks the first consultation workshop, involving six OCOP countries in South Asia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
The OCOP Market Information Bulletin is a vital tool that provides stakeholders with real-time insights into international market trends, trade dynamics, and investment opportunities. By equipping policymakers, exporters, and farmers with relevant data, the bulletin aims to enhance decision-making, boost competitiveness, and improve access to both domestic and international markets.
The virtual consultation workshop aims to:
- Review the progress of OCOP implementation in South Asia.
- Enhance market intelligence through expert presentations and discussions on the OCOP Market Information Bulletin.
- Gather stakeholder feedback on data gaps for OCOP-related market data systems and opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange and strengthen regional collaboration to improve market access and trade in Special Agricultural Products (SAP).
