GLOBAL YOUTH LEAD CHARGE FOR
FOOD SYSTEM REFORM AHEAD OF UN SUMMIT
Preparatory Youth Conference for
2nd UN Food Systems Summit Stocktake (UNFSS+4)
15–16 May 2025 | Bangkok, Thailand | 9:00 – 17:00
Hybrid Event | Hosted by FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific
Food systems are inherently complex – unpredictable, dynamic, and unique to every country. To tackle these challenges, the UN Food Systems Youth Leadership Program (YLP), funded by the German government, empowers young leaders to tackle policy fragmentation and drive transformative change.
Organized by the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub with support from the World Food Forum’s Youth Assembly, this event will:
- Bring together 200 youth leaders, policymakers, and experts from over 50 countries.
- Facilitate dialogues with decision-makers and members of the World Food Forum and Youth Policy Board.
- Develop actionable recommendations and a new Youth Declaration for food systems transformation.
- Support youth engagement in UNFSS+4, upcoming World Food Forum Flagship events, and COP30.
