| Introduction | The AVACLIM project (2019-2022) is funded by the Global Environment Facility and the Foundation for Environmental Monitoring. It aims to address the knowledge gap in evidence-based information on the effects of agroecological innovations. This is carried out by evaluating the effects of these innovations across drylands at the social, economic and environmental level. |

Reliable information can enable the mainstreaming of agroecological innovations across drylands to increase food security, diversify agricultural livelihoods, reduce environmental degradation and increase soil carbon sequestration. |
