FAO and Nordic Nutrition Institute mission

A mission to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan will be conducted by representatives from FAO along with members of the Nordic Nutrition Institute and the Nordic Standing Committee for Nutrition who are partners in the development of the Food Systems-Based Dietary Guidelines (FSBDGs). The mission will include bilateral meetings with national experts to discuss progress on Kyrgyzstan’s FSBDGs, share findings from the situation analysis and evidence-based report, and provide technical guidance.

FAO international expert Simone Gie and Nordic partners will also work to strengthen the capacity of local experts by sharing experiences from the Nordic Nutrition Recommendations (NNR) process. Discussions will cover preparatory steps for an upcoming two-day workshop focused on advancing the FSBDGs development in Kyrgyzstan.
