Stakeholder engagement workshop on national climate action in livestock production systems in the the Lao People's Democratic Republic

This national stakeholder consultation workshop is part of the FAO Flexible Voluntary Contribution (FVC) subprogramme “Scaling up Livestock Climate Actions to Enhance Nationally Determined Contributions – Phase II (FVC/GLO/195/MUL)”. The project supports six countries in enhancing their mitigation and adaptation strategies within the livestock sector.

The workshop aims to improve inter-institutional dialogue and cooperation for livestock climate initiatives in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Throughout the event, participants will explore options to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from livestock systems while reviewing existing policies, action plans, and initiatives that facilitate the integration of livestock into national climate action.
