Stakeholder workshop on national climate action in livestock systems in Tanzania

This stakeholder workshop is conducted under the FAO Flexible Voluntary Contribution sub-programme “Scaling-up climate actions to enhance nationally determined contributions (NDC) and climate and livestock”, which supports nine countries in enhancing mitigation and adaptation measures in the livestock sector. The workshop is designed for multiple stakeholders from both livestock and climate domains to discuss the livestock sector's climate challenges in Tanzania. Participants will discuss options to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from livestock systems and enhance climate resilience at the national level. The event will also stock take Tanzania’s initiatives, projects, and programmes that support climate action in livestock systems.
