The FAO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean (FAORLC), through its Alliances Unit, is implementing a capacity-building process, which seeks to catalyze FAO's link with the private sector, in order to strengthen the role of this sector in achieving the SDGs.
In this course “Boosting engagement with the private sector in Latin America and the Caribbean”, contents and tools are provided to develop the capacities of both FAORLC personnel and individuals interested in increasing their capacities on the role of the private sector in food systems transformation.
In the context of the challenge of recovery with transformation, the role of the private sector is critical, especially in aspects such as innovation and investment in sustainable agriculture, strengthening local agro-business, improving the efficiency of production chains, creating decent rural employment, managing knowledge, scientific development and access to services.

Audience:
The course is aimed at Officials of the regional office, subregional and national representations of FAORLC, public officials of FAORLC member countries, professionals interested in improving their capacities in promoting public-private partnerships and positioning the private sector in the transformation of food systems.
