Les travaux de la FAO sur les produits forestiers non ligneux

Supporting the sustainable use of non-wood forest products (NWFPs) is one of the priority actions in FAO Forestry’s Roadmap: from Vision to Action towards 2031 in support of FAO’s Strategic Framework 2022-31 and of the broader SDG agenda. FAO’s mission is to optimize the contributions of NWFPs towards improved food security and nutrition, income generation as well as biodiversity and climate outcomes.

Key areas of work include:

• technical assistance on the sustainable use of NWFPs;
• improving data on NWFPs;
• appraisal of NWFP socio-economic contributions to rural development.
