EOSTAT Workshop | Advancing EO and AI Integration for Agricultural Statistics

FAO is pleased to invite the National Statistical Institutes to participate in its upcoming workshop: "Advancing EO and AI Integration for Agricultural Statistics", which will take place from April 7 to 11, 2025, in a remote format.

This event is designed to strengthen the capacities of NSO's in integrating Earth Observation (EO) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into agricultural statistics. The objective is to enhance institutional capabilities and meet the growing demand for accurate, timely, and reliable agricultural data in Latin America and the Caribbean. The activities will focus on introducing key concepts of EO and AI, as well as using essential tools that will enable participants to apply these technologies to agricultural statistics in their respective contexts.

The workshop, held in collaboration with the UNCEBD Working Group on Earth Observation and the United Nations Regional Hub for Big Data in Brazil, will have a limited number of spots.

Sessions will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (GMT-3), totaling six hours spread over three days. Tuesdays and Thursdays will be dedicated to practical exercises and Q&A sessions.
