Youth Education for a Better Food Future for All

Food is a basic human need and a central part of daily life, yet many young people remain unaware of how food is produced, distributed and consumed, or how these systems affect both human health and the planet.

The WFF Youth Initiative recognizes that a lack of access to agrifood systems education remains a major barrier to youth engagement. Questions such as “Where does our food come from?”, “What are we really eating?” and “How does climate change impact food security?” are critical to shaping informed, sustainable choices.

The WFF Youth Education Programme aims to close this knowledge gap by equipping young learners with the tools and understanding they need to become agents of change. Through a growing range of learning resources, events and activities, the programme enables students, educators and early-career professionals to engage with and transform agrifood systems locally and globally.

Get involved

Educators, students, researchers and experts interested in advancing agrifood systems transformation are encouraged to take part in the Youth Education Programme.

Participants can engage through ongoing learning activities, stay updated via the WFF Youth Initiative newsletter and contribute as volunteers, partners or sponsors.
