The 5th Global Conference of the Sustainable Food Systems (SFS) Programme will take place from 27 to 29 May 2025 in Brasília, Brazil. This high-level event aims to catalyse bold policy decisions in key international fora in 2025, including the UNFSS+4 Stocktaking Moment and UNFCCC COP 30, to accelerate the transition towards sustainable, resilient and equitable food systems.
Building on the UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS) 2021 and subsequent global efforts—including the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) and the UAE Declaration on Sustainable Agriculture, Resilient Food Systems and Climate Action—this conference will showcase practical solutions for overcoming political and economic barriers to food systems transformation.
