Virtual Event, 03/06/2025
To mark World Environment Day and the International Day for Biological Diversity 2025, the India Water Foundation, in collaboration with the National Water Mission of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, will host a virtual high-level multi-stakeholder policy dialogue on 3 June 2025, from 10.30–12.00 UTC.
Titled “End plastic pollution and deliver actions for harmony with nature”, the event will bring together leading representatives from international organizations, research institutions and policy think tanks to examine the impacts of plastic pollution on ecosystems and biodiversity. Speakers will address policy gaps, present innovative solutions, and explore opportunities to align efforts with the Global Plastics Treaty, the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Confirmed participants include representatives from the Convention on Biological Diversity, the United Nations Environment Programme, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Wetlands International and the Government of India.
