High-Level Political Forum 2025

The High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) will take place from 14 to 23 July 2025 under the theme "Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for leaving no one behind", under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

The forum will conduct in-depth reviews of the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

• SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all;
• SDG 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls;
• SDG 8: Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth and decent work for all;
• SDG 14: Conserve and sustainably use oceans, seas, and marine resources; and
• SDG 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize global partnerships.

A total of 39 countries, including Germany, Guatemala, India, Japan and South Africa will present Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) on their progress towards the SDGs.

The HLPF will convene high-level government representatives, UN entities, academics, and stakeholders from around the world. In addition to official sessions, the forum will feature side events, VNR Labs, special events, and exhibitions, offering diverse platforms for knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
