International Mountain Tourism Day 2025

 

The International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) will host the International Mountain Tourism Day 2025 in Gran Canaria, Spain on 29 May 2025, with the theme "Embracing mountains and seas, coexisting with cultures - Mountain tourism and cultural inclusiveness for the future". Organized as part of IMTA’s efforts to promote sustainable mountain tourism, the event will highlight the importance of inclusive development, climate resilience and innovation in mountain destinations. 

The conference will bring together representatives from international organizations, governments, IMTA members, academia, associations, tourism enterprises and local communities.

Building on previous editions held in Nice, France, and Guizhou, China, the 2025 celebration aims to promote global dialogue and cooperation for the sustainable growth of mountain tourism.
