The Mountain Partnership would like to express gratitude to all the mountain enthusiasts who responded to our call for videos. We received a number of fascinating videos about mountain peoples and environments from across the globe reflecting the breathtaking diversity of mountain peoples, their cultures and habitats from the Andes in the South America to the Great Himalayas in Asia.
The overwhelming response from our members and friends has helped us build a catalogue of multi-media materials for promoting sustainable mountain development. The videos feature people engaged in a wide range of socio-economic activities in mountain areas as well as illustrate the visible impacts of field projects and innovative initiatives which aim to address the challenges mountain peoples and environments face around the world.
We would like to encourage Mountain Partnership members and friends to watch and show the videos to raise public awareness about the global importance of mountains and strengthen the voices of mountain peoples.
