Environmental Engineering for Sustainable Development

This course's main objective is to form an engineer who has developed a highly interdisciplinary analytical and design approach. The graduate student should be able to tackle environmental sustainability problems by combining civil engineering with industrial engineering and knowing how to deal with the uncertainty deriving from complex systems. He/she should be a professional figure with several skills in different fields that will enable the graduate student to design complex measures at different scales - from the micro-scale of the materials to the meso scale of the site, to a macro scale of the structure of the territory.
