What they do
The Arthur B. Schultz Foundation (ABSF) strives to advance the economic, social and cultural situation of women and girls living in the developing world by supporting projects focused on leadership in education and entrepreneur development. Its hope is to address the overwhelming need for appropriate wheelchairs and other mobility aids in the developing world by supporting a variety of innovative and replicable mobility solutions. Thriive is an independent operating foundation created by ABSF that enables small business entrepreneurs to grow thriving businesses, and empowers them to serve as catalysts driving self-sustaining economic growth and inspiring a culture of social responsibility.

Eligibility
The foundation makes international grants in two core areas: women’s empowerment and disabled mobility solutions. These grants are awarded exclusively to United States’ 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations or equivalent government-recognized non-profit status for foreign grantees. Note: The foundation does not consider any type of grant request from individuals. For information on funding to other organizations please check the website.
